    Dr. Marcos Sommer Asociación Oceanográfica Uruguaya Resumen La Asociación Oceanográfica Uruguaya (AOU) manifiesta su rechazo absoluto a la exploración petrolera offshore, tras la movilización ciudadana del 18 de febrero de 2026. La Asociación sostiene que la actividad es incompatible con la preservación de los ecosistemas marinos y con el marco legal vigente. Comunicado público tras la movilización ciudadana del 18 de febrero de 2026, la Asociación Oceanográfica Uruguaya (AOU) reitera su rechazo a la exploración petrolera offshore en aguas uruguayas. La actividad petrolera es incompatible con la preservación de los ecosistemas marinos y con el marco legal vigente. La AOU se suma a la movilización ciudadana y rechaza cualquier forma de prospección sísmica en el mar uruguayo. La Asociación Oceanográfica Uruguaya (AOU) se compromete a seguir trabajando para proteger el mar uruguayo y sus ecosistemas. VER NOTA ORIGINAL
