    En Ecuador, Bolivia y México, mujeres indígenas lideran iniciativas que combinan conocimientos ancestrales y conservación para proteger especies, bosques y fuentes de agua. En la Amazonía ecuatoriana, las mujeres tortuga trabajan para recuperar las poblaciones de charapa en el río Aguarico. En Oaxaca, mujeres chinantecas recorren los bosques de La Chinantla con cámaras trampa para capturar imágenes de jaguares y otros animales en peligro de extinción. En Bolivia, las mujeres quechuas trabajan para proteger los bosques de la selva amazónica y preservar las fuentes de agua para las comunidades locales.
