    El pueblo indígena yukpa lleva casi una década acudiendo a la Justicia colombiana para exigir protección frente a los impactos que aseguran les ha causado la minería de carbón en su territorio ancestral en el departamento del Cesar, en el Caribe. Aunque la Corte Constitucional les dio la razón en varias de sus peticiones y ha ordenado medidas para mitigar los efectos de la minería, los yukpa aseguran que no se han cumplido y que siguen sufriendo los impactos de la actividad minera.
