    El calor emergente del Océano Pacífico, combinado con el calentamiento global causado por la actividad humana, es una receta sombría para extremos climáticos mortales. El calor solo ya mata a más de 500.000 personas anualmente.

    Científicos dijeron esta semana que un desarrollado El Niño es probable que amplifique los calor, sequías y inundaciones este año, pero advirtieron que el calentamiento a largo plazo causado por la quema de combustibles fósiles sigue siendo el principal impulsor de los extremos climáticos.
